Nicholas Damen decided to capture a few scenes from Japan via time-lapse photography using his Canon 7d and a timer remote.

Here you have a full step by step tutorial on how he made it:

You set the remote to around 4-6 second intervals then sit and wait. Yyou get 10 photos a minute and played back at 25fps or (photos per sec). You need to wait around 15 to 20 mins to get a 5 to 10 seconds time-lapse.

The shot of the famous busy Shinjuku intersection was actually shot from Star bucks coffee, there were “no photo” signs everywhere as the whole window was perfect viewing point night and day of the crazy intersection. Nicholas got a coffee and waited around 20 mins to get a seat in front of the window, then he sneakily set his camera up under the chair and put the jacket over it.

Here are some locations in which he shot :
The busy intersection is Shinjuku.
The shots from high up looking down on the buildings and streets in daylight and night are Tokyo city.
The shots in the mountains are at a place called Galla Yuzawa.
The shots looking up the St were in Kyoto and the night one is in Osaka.
