Minds in the Water is a feature-length documentary following the quest of professional surfer Dave Rastovich and his friends to protect dolphins, whales and the oceans they all share. Through Dave’s journey—a five-year adventure spanning the globe from Australia to the Galapagos, Tonga, California, Alaska and Japan—we see one surfer’s quest to activate his community to help protect the ocean and it’s inhabitants from the threats of commercial slaughter and pollution.

Australian filmmaker Nat Lanyon has recently released a short surf video called “Bible School”. It features longboarder and Insight team rider, Jared Mell, catching some little waves at Noosa Beach on Australia’s Sunshine Coast.
Insight “Surf Scabs” surf film
Insight 51 have just released a surf film animated and edited by their artist Rad Dan. It features team riders as Warren Smith, Otis Carey and Rangi Ormond on a recent road trip down Australia’s east coast. Art plus good old school surfing makes it worth watching.

This short movie called “Lonely surf” was recently released by filmmakers Rest Your Eyes. It pictures Argentine longboarder Lina Reyero gracefully riding the waves at Wategos beach near Byron Bay, Australia.

Stephanie Gilmore Releases Official Statement After Assault
On the evening of Monday, December 27th, reigning four-time ASP Women’s World Champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS), 22, was viciously assaulted in a random act of violence near her Tweed Heads home.
