Aakash Nihalani ‘Stop, Pop and Roll’ street art project

New York street artist Aakash Nihalani has posted a video of his recent installation street art project. It took place on the streets of Brooklyn. Hopefully we will be able to experience this sort of initiatives more and more frequently. They make streets more enjoyable and interesting. Have a look!

The video was filmed and edited by Keith Haskel and features the track Caja Y Guacharacha by Quantic.

‘Scratch My Name On Your Arm’ Deanna Templeton exhibition

An exhibition of photography “Scratch My Name On Your Arm” by Deanna Templeton will inaugurate at the Schunck Art Institute in Heerlen, Netherlands on May 22.

The collection of black and white photographs will explore the motives of people who get autographs and company logos painted on their skin.

All of the photos were taken at skate demos and surf competitions in Southern California.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a book featuring the writing of Deanna’s husband Ed Templeton and the Director of Schunck Institute Stijn Huijts.

Check out this short making of video of two artists: Menso and Glory’s art installation at the OKSkate headquarters in California.

The video was filmed and edited by Zane Meyer, with paint provided by Ironlak.

The large wall piece features the words ‘Stop Hate Go Skate’ and forms part of an in-house training facility for the OKSkate team.

“Women are Heroes” exhibition along Seine in Paris

French photographer JR recently released a documentary about his efforts to cover bridges and walls along the Seine in Paris with images from his “Women are Heroes” exhibition.

The massive display, featuring photographs of women taken in various war torn countries, has split opinion amongst Parisians. Wheter you like it or not, approve it or disapprove it, what really counts is the message.

Jessie Ford exhibition at Howies Staircase Gallery

Her work combines graphic shapes, textured layers and silhouetted figures to produce a silk-screen effect.

The Colette Gallery hosts the exhibition of Parisian grafitti artist André

Popular French graffiti artist, André will exhibit his drawings in The Colette Gallery from February 1st to 27th. The collection will feature a mixture of black and white and colour creations that all carry his trademark psychedelic designs. André is also known for his collaborations with various snowboard brands.

Ruben Sanchez known from his collabos with CIRCA, Alex Castañeda and British skater and artist Danny Wainwright will have their group exhibition called Simbiosis at Espacio Espora at calle Embajadores 35 in one of the most amazing Madrid neighborhoods called La Latina.
