A new collaboration between New Balance and 686 has just been introduced for winter 2009/2010. The complete Men’s winter collection is composed of outerwear, footwear, boots and accessories and is already available at select shops across the globe.
As an added value of the collection, 686 and New Balance have produced 20 limited edition Super Nova collection boxes that feature a jacket, New Era cap, and limited edition NB686 boot and sneaker. The box is a collectors’ piece and is being sent to exclusive NB686 retailers and taste‐makers throughout the world.

Each year, 686 collaborates with a new company for a limited edition series to offer a Times Line with another premium brand and in 09-10 the collaboration partnered with New Balance. The New Balance x 686 Snowboarding Collection featuring shoes, snowboard boots, outerwear and accessories.

Based upon the original MT580 sneaker, the 686 design team recreated a fully functional, technically advanced snowboard boot with a sneaker-like fit. The intense process utilized New Balance’s proprietary features like Rollbar® and Abzorb®, as well as combining BOA’s® proven Focus® lacing system. The end result is a true masterpiece of New Balance’s quality footwear heritage and 686’s technical snowboarding history.
