On the last day of the 4th Orage European Freeski Open by Swatch Virginie Faivre from Switzerland and Matthew Philippi from the USA secured the 2009 Halfpipe Women’s and Men’s titles. Both Champions stormed the flawlessly shaped Halfpipe with perfectly stuck huge airs.

Swiss girl Virginie Faivre (3 times Orage European Freeski Slopestyle Champion) was at her best, faultlessly pulling off tricks such as an air safety grab, a leftside 540, a rightside 540 and a switch alley Oop 540, deservedly earning the title of Freeski Queen of LAAX. „I am so happy, that every time I am at the European Freeski Open, it works out so well for me. I love the Event in LAAX and I am going to be there next year for sure. Tonight I will celebrate and buy Champagne for me and my friends with the prize money.”
