Neverland by Absinthe films review
This year’s Absinthe Films movie “Neverland” is a must see in your snowboard movie library. It has everything a great snowboard movie needs plus something really special; really mind blowing powder riding by Nicolas Müller. The movie features a lot of top riders such as Travis Rice, Dan Brisse, Bode Merrill, Sylvain Bourbousson, JP Solberg, Romain deMarchi, DCP, Marc Frank Montoya, Annie Boulanger, Marie-France Roy, Jules Reymond, Wille Yli-Luoma, Cale Zima, Phil Damianakes, Wolfgang Nyvelt, Kevin Pearce, Eero Ettala, Gigi Rüf that has some amazing powder shots himself.
The movie opens up with Baba O’Riley by The Who that immediately gets you stoked but it’s not the music that will make you love this music you but the shots as the whole movie was entirely filmed on actual 16mm film and honestly it looks much better this way then any other HD movie this season. That’s thanks to Justin Hostynek, Patrick Armbruster and their crew.
As all of Absinthe movies this one is of course full of insane riding as well. I really liked Annie Boulanger part and of course the opening clip of Nicolas and Kevin Pearce shredding in powder, performing some really sick tricks between trees and bushes. All of the riders had something to show but the last, closing part that belonged to Bode Merril was simply awesome with tons of amazing tricks that will blow your mind.
Neverland is a good movie, it couldn’t be any different, after all it’s an Absinthe production. With great riding, mind blowing filming the only thing that is slightly disappointing is the music but it’s definitely worth to watch it even if it was for all the bonuses that are included on the DVD plus free stickers and 10% discount for shopping in blue-tomato.com. Enjoy!
