Makboard is a California-based company founded by Bob Chandler and his cousin Bob Ryan. Both of them as devoted surfers that wanted to create a snowboard that would feel more like a surf. They wanted a snowboard that felt like “surfing the snow”

As a result they have developed the world’s first and only clear, recyclable snowboard.
It is an extremely flexible, completely transparent board that is more ‘eco-friendly’ than anything else on the market as it is made from Bayer Makrolon, the same material that is used to make bulletproof windows, goggle lenses or fighter jet canopies.

Makboard is the only snowboard that is 100% recyclable and reusable. It can be returned to Makboard LLC for recycling and to be made into the next Makboard, this reduces energy consumption, promotes sustainability and reduces landfill usage.
