2010 Vans Snowboard boots Collabs
For the 2009-2010 snow season Vans joined Protect Our Winters (POW) and Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) and designed some limited edition snowboard boots.
Vans Cirro x POW
Protect Our Winters (POW) is a tax exempt, non-profit organization dedicated to reversing the global warming crisis by uniting the winter sports community and focusing our collective efforts towards a common goal.
Climate change is a serious issue for all of us who are passionate about our winter sports. It’s our lifestyle and in some cases, its how we make our living. But if we harness our collective energy and put forth a focused effort, we can have a direct influence on reversing the damage that’s been done and ensure that winters are here for generations behind us.
The 2010 Vans x POW snowboard boot is based on the Cirro boot. Providing three distinct closure zones, the Focus System gives you the versatility to adjust to any and all conditions. Coupled with the Custom Quadfit thermal liner with interchangeable fit-bars, the Cirro provides each rider with true custom performance capability.
Vans Veil B4BC
Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a non-profit, youth-focused education, awareness, and fundraising foundation. Their mission is to increase awareness about breast cancer, the importance of early detection, and the value of an active lifestyle. We all know and love someone who has been affected by this terrible disease. For the 2010 season, Vans have partnered with B4BC on a special edition Veil, to help raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer.
Fusing Vans classic styling with the most advanced technology, the all new Veil snowboard boot features Vans’ custom designed BOA Focus System, with bright, colorful embroidery and details including B4BC’s signature logo.
A portion of the proceeds from this project will go to the B4BC organization to help fund programs that serve to educate and empower the community on positive health practices and the fight against breast cancer.
Available in early fall 2009, the Vans x B4BC and Vans x POW snowboard boots will be sold at board shops worldwide.
