With over 12 years of experience and 20 cover shots in multiple surfing magazines, Jeff sheds some light on his tips and approach to his art.

The Kite Club Maui will be supporting the event as a local organizer to ensure the girls have everything they need, just as with last year’s clinic with Kristin Boese on Maui. Gretta Kruesi will also be on the team for the KB4girls Maui clinic and will help promote the event as well as co-instruct and support Kristin during the event, which will be an important part of the camp.

But this event has even more to offer! To support the female athletes as much as possible and to offer the participants an amazing program and every reason to make their way over to Hawaii, KB4girls has teamed up with the Maui based water women program “Butterfly Effect”.

The “Butterfly Effect” organizes downwind runs for female athletes of all watersports and will be using the KB4girls clinic as a platform for their kiteboarding participants to prepare for their event in July.

Tatiana Howard, founder of the Butterfly Effect says: “I am really excited to have KB4girls involved. I think the clinic Kristin is running will be perfect to get the girls ready and confident for our Butterfly Effect in July. I would encourage all kite girls to take part in the KB4girls clinic, learn new tips and tricks, and soak up all the advice. You will be able to enjoy The 4th Annual Butterfly Effect 2010 even more after this intensive training because you will be shredding down the north shore of Maui with new skills.”

Due to the limited space on Maui’s beaches this KB4girls event can only accommodate 20 participants in order to guarantee the safety of all riders. As usual the $30 registration fee will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation and towards the protection of our oceans and beaches.

The board has been made for freestyle riding. It is light, tough and fast. The Structurn base guarantees a smooth ride on any type of snow. The sidecut consists of two concentric circle arcs. The first arc makes the initial and final stages of your carve easier, while the second arc helps edge hold during intermediate stages. The result is a constant distribution of pressure on the snow, which means clean, fluid riding at high speeds.

This really cool and not very expensive board is available in three sizes 148, 151, 155. Just try it and I’m sure you will fall in love. The design will for sure make a lot of heads turn while you are on the slope or in ski lift.

These Opal SL Northwave boots are a best seller. With easy lacing system and perfect flex these all mountain boots are great for all ability levels. It has double zone closure laces which are curved to guarantee an easy slide through the loops to minimize lace friction. They are simple, fast an comfortable.

The liners feel soft, warm and comfortable and lets face it, they are stylish. The new liner lace lock is built with a quick release system to ensure efficiency and reduce lace slippage. Just squeeze the two ends of the lock together to loosen or tighten boots quickly and simply.

The soles give you a perfect grip and absorb shock. Needless to say I loved having them on the slopes.

Finally the DL Drake bindings
Inspired by the Drake Lady’s team they are soft, have extremely forgiving flex. As the rest of the pack DL are perfect for park and urban rail sessions.

They are made partly from a perfect mix of aluminium and nylon called EVA connection which provide you with maximum lightness and total shock absorption. Pre curved-EVA-flex adapter-extra ankle cushioning, 3D structure and synthetic leather, plus extra ankle cushioning on the sides of the strap make these bindings durable and comfortable.

Needles to say, they compliment the board and together with boots you couldn’t ask for a better combo to shred some slopes.

The goal of Music for Action is to give musicians and their fans a greater voice in the worldwide conversation about climate change.

Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson and Phish are among the artists who donated their music, in hopes that it will inspire their fans “This generation has an opportunity to be remembered as one that confronted environmental challenges and took responsibility for the future,” said Jack Johnson, whose song “Inaudible Melodies” can be heard on the compilation.

The compilation also includes tracks from Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie, My Morning Jacket, O.A.R., and Ani DiFranco, among others. In most cases these recordings have never before been released to the public, and were hand-picked by the artists themselves. Other featured artists include: The Decemberists, Guster, Raphael Saadiq, Gov’t Mule, Bob Weir & RatDog, Phil Lesh & Friends, moe. and The Disco Biscuits. All of the featured tracks are original songs, with the exception of My Morning Jacket’s performance of the Velvet Underground’s “Oh! Sweet Nothin’”.
