Austrian filmmakers Illuminati have recently released the teaser for their new film “Hike3″.

It sees riders including Mitch Toelderer, Stefan Häusl and Bibi Pekarek spurn their home mountains and head to Norway in search of some powder.

Without lifts, snowmobiles or helicopters, the groups hiked all their own lines in the dramatic coastal scenery.

“The mountains up there are insane, some of them stick right out of the ocean and are about 2000m high. It can be quite a mission to reach the lines you want to ride so beside some experience and knowledge, it’s good to bring everything you need for exploring. As days get longer and longer so far north, once we had our last run at 10pm before getting up at sunrise at 3am to hike up for our next mission!”

Patagonia have just released this short snow film, Last Light.
There is an undeniable magic in the final seconds of a day’s light that give mountains impossible texture and life before falling into shadow.

Made by Sweetgrass Productions, it sees riders Stephan Drake, Forrest Shearer and Johan Jonsson go in search of big lines in the Glacier Bay National Park near Haines, Alaska.

Mont Blanc is one of the most iconic mountains in the world and Chamonix one of the oldest ski areas. The Roxy Team spent a week here checking out the amazing terrain and kicker spots. A Season in the life of Kjersti Buaas! Kjersti is admired as one of the best all round snowboarders out there. She can shred the pipe, rip the park and kills it in the back-country. This is the teaser to the Rip Curl “Gum” snow series.

Such ‘discoveries’ include Japanese hot springs, Canadian wilderness and barbeques in the Andes.

Grassroots Powdersurfing recently presented the official teaser of their new web series. The Powsurf Chronicles is an upcoming series of short films about Powdersurfing.

It presents the ultimate, inevitable mix of surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. No bindings, no handles, no ropes or gimmicks.

Cheryl Maas decided to film her own videos last season. The series is called “Open Air” and it documents her journey throughout the winter, giving a personal look at the life of a pro snowboarder. Enjoy and sray tuned for more episodes!

Amy Purdy has been through hardships that most of us will never face — or can even fathom. But what makes her story so incredible is not that fact that she lived a “normal” childhood then tragically lost her legs at age 19, but how she has persevered, taking implausible challenges and rising above them.

Today, Amy is an athlete; currently the top ranked adaptive female snowboarder in the world. Amy also spends a good amount of time helping others; specifically those with physical challenges get involved with snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding and other action sports through the organization she co-founded Adaptive Action Sports. Challenging herself while making a positive impact on the world is a true testament to Amy’s spirit.
