Austrian filmmakers Illuminati have recently released the teaser for their new film “Hike3″.

It sees riders including Mitch Toelderer, Stefan Häusl and Bibi Pekarek spurn their home mountains and head to Norway in search of some powder.

Without lifts, snowmobiles or helicopters, the groups hiked all their own lines in the dramatic coastal scenery.

“The mountains up there are insane, some of them stick right out of the ocean and are about 2000m high. It can be quite a mission to reach the lines you want to ride so beside some experience and knowledge, it’s good to bring everything you need for exploring. As days get longer and longer so far north, once we had our last run at 10pm before getting up at sunrise at 3am to hike up for our next mission!”

Patagonia have just released this short snow film, Last Light.
There is an undeniable magic in the final seconds of a day’s light that give mountains impossible texture and life before falling into shadow.

Made by Sweetgrass Productions, it sees riders Stephan Drake, Forrest Shearer and Johan Jonsson go in search of big lines in the Glacier Bay National Park near Haines, Alaska.

Mont Blanc is one of the most iconic mountains in the world and Chamonix one of the oldest ski areas. The Roxy Team spent a week here checking out the amazing terrain and kicker spots. Aways up for a bit of fun the girls ride a bit of everything, making the most of the powder they find to show you what it is all about — good days riding with good shred buddies! Enjoy!

A Season in the life of Kjersti Buaas! Kjersti is admired as one of the best all round snowboarders out there. She can shred the pipe, rip the park and kills it in the back-country. Most riders are happy to specialize in one area but not Kjersti — she pushes the limits in all areas and definitely has an ‘access all areas’ pass to show for it!

Enjoy the fast paced, live life to the full vibe of this podcast which was exclusively edited by Kjersti and then get out and shred whatever you love to shred!

This is the teaser to the Rip Curl “Gum” snow series.

It features riding from the likes of Victor De Le Rue, Janne Lipsanen and Elias Elhardt as they search far afield for snow after a very bad European winter.

Such ‘discoveries’ include Japanese hot springs, Canadian wilderness and barbeques in the Andes.

But most impress is the use of bullet time to capture some backcountry powder slashes and handplants.

Stay tuned!

Amy Purdy has been through hardships that most of us will never face — or can even fathom. But what makes her story so incredible is not that fact that she lived a “normal” childhood then tragically lost her legs at age 19, but how she has persevered, taking implausible challenges and rising above them.

Today, Amy is an athlete; currently the top ranked adaptive female snowboarder in the world. Amy also spends a good amount of time helping others; specifically those with physical challenges get involved with snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding and other action sports through the organization she co-founded Adaptive Action Sports. Challenging herself while making a positive impact on the world is a true testament to Amy’s spirit.

“At this time of the year last season, with my friends Guido, Tero and Matthieu we’ve decided to create our own movie production company called TimeLine Film. With the support of my partners we have released a web serie during the season. We’ve tried to document more than just the action and show people what it takes as effort, luck and commitment to get the best possible big mountain video part in TB20 from Standard Films. Although the snow conditions were terrible in Europe last winter we hoped all season long we could have enough unseen action and interesting backstage material to come up with a movie and have a chance to share our experience. Here it is This is my Winter!” Xavier de le Rue
